Pretty and Polished Miss Independent Swatch/Review

Happy Saturday!  This weird shiny thing appeared in the sky this morning...my husband claims it's the sun!?  Could it be???  Finally ;)

Today I have a fun polish from Pretty & Polished.  This is called Miss Independent.

Pretty & Polished Miss Independent
2 Coats No Base
Miss Independent is inspired by America's upcoming Independence Day Celebration on July 4th.

2 Coats No Base
Miss Independent has a white jelly base with blue round, square, and triangle (sorry Emily...shards....however, they could just be parts of the blue squares that broke...ha) glitter; as well as red small and large round glitter.  As noted, the photos above show the polish without an additional white base.

These photos show the polish with a white base (Julep Kate).  There is a decent amount of glitter in the bottle, but I did a little fishing for the large round dots because I think they are so cute:) It was pretty easy to fish one out with the brush and plop it on.

I also tried the Swift Sparkle Top Coat from Pretty & Polished.  The name describes it perfectly - dries "swiftly" and gives it a "sparkly" shine!  It applied easily - not too thick, not too thin.  I'm liking it!

  1. So cute...I just love polishes like these. Anything patriotic turns me into sentimental soup. Enjoy your weekend my friend. :)

  3. I love this color. Did you do a white base coat then use the glitter polish or is it an all in one polish?

  12. How on earth are your manis & swatches always soooo perfect?! In my most recent post with white undies, it looks HORRIBLE around my cuticle area! All wiggly from where I did cleanup to get it off my eponychium. :-/ This is a lovely polish too! Been seeing a lot of indies with patriotic polishes, and I definitely like this one. When I was reading your description of the glitter, I was like, triangles? What is she talking about??? Then I saw the photos and had a lightbulb moment: OH! SHARDS!! I love shards!! :-D haha
Ya know, I was just thinking, some indie brand should make a polish like this & call it INDIEpendence Day. :-D

    1. Can you try just keeping the polish away so you don't have to cleanup? I have never had good luck trying to clean up. Oh yeah Shards!!! LOL. I updated my post:) I was just throwing out different shapes and triangle came to mind:)

    2. Hi Essie, haha, it was similar where I live, when we finally had two sunny days in a row we felt like cave men emerging into the blinding outside world!!! What a pretty polish that is, and I love white with red and blue. Your nails look gorgeous and this polish suits you so well!! - Christine
