Guest Post from Nidia at Lit From Within - Vintage Floral Nail Art

Hello Again:)  I have another guest post for you - this is from Nidia at Lit From Within.  I bet you are going to want me to break my nails more often so you can see some nail art for a change:)

Nidia's blog is so unique.  I love how she shows indie nail polishes, high-end mainstream and drugstore brands, as well as nail art.  She covers it all and that is such a smart way to blog.  I think you catch a wide range of people by having that mixture. Great job Nidia!

Hi, I'm Nidia, and I have a little blog called Lit From Within.   Essie Rae had a little nail emergency, so I asked her if I could share one of mine with you while she recovers.  I love nail art, especially florals.  I think I like them so much because I can be crazy and not worry about being perfect, because no one can say that what I've made doesn't exist *anywhere* in nature. I started out with a light, pretty glitter polish from Daring Digits, Holy Fire. Tiny copper bits in a milky base is right up my alley.

I was inspired by some vintage flowers nail art, and I wanted to try using a gold shimmer to achieve a similar vintage look.

I used Julep Ashley, Gloria, and Claudette to make the flowers, and Finger Paints Black Expressionism mixed with Ashley for the stems. I like how the shimmer in Ashley imitates the glitter in the background

I hope you liked my attempt at vintage flowers, and if you'd like to see more of my blog, please follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or follow my blog, Lit From Within.  I hope Essie Rae will be back to polishing in no time!  Thanks again!

Thanks Nidia!  So beautiful.  Have a great day everyone.  Essie
