Sassy Lacquer Dancing Daffodil and Zoya Jacqueline Review/Swatches

I have a bright and sunny manicure to show you.  I think I FINALLY found a yellow I can pull off.  This is Sassy Lacquer Dancing Daffodil over Zoya Jacqueline (shown alone below).

Sassy Lacquer Dancing Daffodil
Dancing Daffodil is a buttery yellow creme with tiny specks of orange glitter and golden shimmer.  The Sassy site also says that there is a hint of green glitter but I didn't see any.  Now that I look at the photos of the bottle, perhaps I didn't shake it enough - it looks like there is a bunch of glitter on the bottom.

I really loved how it came out.  It is such a soft yellow that it's easier to pull off.  And I like how the tiny bits of shimmer/glitter make it a little more interesting and fun.

Below is a photo of Zoya Jacqueline on its own.  Zoya describes Jacqueline as "a full-coverage, perfect magnolia nude cream."  This was originally created as a custom runway shade for fashion designer Peter Som.

Full coverage is right. This applied like butter.

  4. Mmmm!! Beautiiiiiful - indie love!!! As I'v said before and will say many more times, mainstream brands are wonderful in their own right, but indies are a whole different realm of "mindblowing." :-D Again, PERFECT mani - perfect pics!!!

  5. Hi Essie, awww you again have such a lovely mani for us, it looks simply perfect on you :-). I had to just smile a bit about your remark about the green glitter - exactly this happened to me just today with a glitter, firstly nearly doing Yoga-things with my hand trying to get a glimpse of the missing glitter and then I found it still sitting smugly at the bottom of the bottle :-D!!! Have a wonderful weekend :-)

  7. Buttery is right, this is such a perfect pale yellow, and the golden glitters look just loke melted beads of butter. You wear this beautifully :)
