Nostalgic Nail Lacquer F*ck And Run Review/Swatches

I have a really cool Nostalgic Nail Lacquer polish to show you.  It's called F*ck And Run.  This will probably the closest I come to swearing on my blog:)  Believe it or not, I don't swear in real life - at all.  Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with other people swearing, it has just never been something I've done. There have been times when friends tell me to try it and when I do, it sounds soooo weird and awkward LOL.  I just can't give it the punch that everyone else does....although, sometimes I wish I could!

This is how Nostalgic Lacquer describes F*ck And Run:  "A red jelly base packed full of hot pink, red, and orange sparks. Sheer enough to layer over your favorite pink and red shades, but buildable enough to wear on its own."

I layered F*ck And Run over Julep Mandy.

F*ck And Run totally makes a red or pink glow!

I wanted to show this closeup because you can see that it almost looks like a flakey polish.

The formula was sheer, as they describe on their site, but I think I will always layer it over another polish.  I am excited to try it over a pink - maybe a pink neon!!  Have a great day!

  3. Beautiful color! And good for you for not swearing. It's a bad habit to get into and an even harder one to break.

  5. I really like the shimmer to it. And I curse like a truck driver, but being the baby of 4 cursing brothers, I was born into this life. :-)

I like your layering choice for this as well.

  9. Wicked swatches, girlie! This looks amazing! When I was in seveth grade I decided I was gong to shed my goody two shoes image and my language immediately went down the drain. I've had successful seaso ns of not swearing and highly unsuccessful seasons and then the places in between... Swearing is nothing to aspire to, in my book. It seems whenever I attempt to be more of a lady, my own weaknesses slap me down and remind me that I'm just not, lol :/ Anyhoo, point being that if I were you, I'd not sweat not being able to "pull it off"... But that's just my opinion ;)

    1. :) I just have times where I wish I could because it would fit perfectly. I'm so "goody two shoes" that the other day when I was reading something to my husband that had a swear word in it, I spelled it. Now that's a little ridiculous...I'm a grown adult, you would think I could at least say a naughty word out loud!!

  10. Hi Essie, how absolutely adorable that you are not swearing!!! I just read through Liesl's post and have to stand in line with her! I was VERY badmouthed as a youth and still had those occasional slips into very bad language. Even the more so, since nobody at work understood or spoke my mother tongue so while they usually GUESSED that I was swearing, they had no clue about the meaning - this has all changed now and I seriously need to watch my tongue!!! But on to your beautiful nails: I just have one comment: why oh why did I not read your Blog BEFORE doing my nails - now I want to have red nails!!! Absolutely beautiful on you, dear Essie!!!
