Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. I had my brother's wedding and it went great. I'm so happy for them:) Maybe I'll show the cake next Saturday...we shall see if I got a good enough picture to show on the ole' blog.
This pretty polish is called "Good Bud-dy." Once I saw the promotional ads for Drew Barrymore's new "Flower" makeup & nail polish collection at Wal-Mart, I knew I had to try a few. I have to admit, the packaging gave me a little nudge as well. I know it's what's inside that counts, but I really am drawn to pretty packaging...especially nail polish bottles that are square.
Of course, standing at the display and trying to figure out which ones to buy was pretty difficult. I was standing there with a puzzled look on my face trying to picture the possible dupes I have at home. After many stressful minutes, I decided on this dark teal and a nude/beige. At first glance, I thought it could possibly be similar to Essie Where's My Chauffeur (shown below) or OPI Can't Find My Czechbook. But this is a lot darker and has more green than blue. It's more green than it shows in my photos...frustrating...

I almost didn't post these because I couldn't get the true color. I even tried changing the color of the sweater I was showing in the photos....nope, didn't help.

The good thing is, I don't have any dupes at home. This is truly a dark teal green. Just ignore what you are seeing here.... LOL. The application was pretty good. I applied 3 coats because I felt like I could still see a little bit of my nail. Perhaps this is a "crelly" (creme-jelly)?

I layered it with I Love Nail Polish "Fully Turqued". Of course, you can't see the turquoise glitter very well, but the black and white show up and I am happy with the outcome.
You can find Flower "Good Bud-dy" at Walmart for $4.98 and I Love Nail Polish "Fully Turqued" on the ILoveNP Etsy site here for $10.00.
Have you tried any of the Flower polishes yet? They are all so bright and fun, it was hard to pick just two.
It is finally warming up here, so we were able to get a little Vitamin D outside this weekend. I'm ignoring the weather prediction that is saying "more snow on Thursday." I am hoping that if I ignore it, it won't happen...
Have a great day!

True color or not, this is lovely! And I love the combo too! Haha..."after many stressful minutes"...hahaha...
ReplyDelete:) Thanks!
DeleteLove this with the glitter topper. I have one Flower polish that I love, Thistle or That. I'd like to pick up another soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have to look that one up! I can't wait to try my nude one!
DeleteOh so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks:)
DeleteGreat color! I love these types of teal colors too :) Love the glitter you layered over it as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
DeleteSO I sort of very strongly dislike Wallyworld, but this collection and the Hard Candies ALMOST make me want to venture out of my way and brave the masses, lol. Your photos are a 10 as usual, but I definitely feel your pain on photographing some of these teals. Like, the lighting's perfectly natural and good, Y U not show your greeeen?! I had an Essence polish that did the same thing to me. Anyhoo, Fully Turqued looks very cool over this color, and I can't wait to see the cake!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way about Wallyworld. I avoid it at all costs, but I had to make an exception for this polish. I was actually dreading it all day knowing I was going:(
DeleteI have not tried any yet, but had seen it and wanted some. I had reached my nail polish quota for the month when I saw it though. I did get their mascara and am loving it!
ReplyDeleteI should have a nail polish quota... :)
DeleteLove the teal color! I'll have to check out the Flower polishes next time I'm at Walmart (although ours never has any good nail polish colors ><). Glad to hear you had a great weekend... looking forward to those cake pics. ;-)

I hope you find one that you like:) Can't wait to see what you pick!
DeleteCute!! I love the teal, i think i'm doing that next.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI love the final combination
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking the time to comment:)
DeleteLovely! The last one is set my favorite. I'm a sucker for aqua.
ReplyDeleteI know, me too!
DeleteI hate how the evil empire has great lines only exclusive to them. I don't really like shopping there. Haha. But that's a pretty color and I love it even more with the glitter on top. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, "evil empire" - I hate going there too...but sometimes you have to take one for the team in the name of nail polish ;)
Deletevery cool looking
ReplyDeleteThanks:)
