I'm still wearing my Jamberry nail shield from yesterday's manicure - if you missed it, click here. Of course, I had to put green on today for St. Patrick's Day (the nail shield isn't very St. Patrick-y but that's okay). I didn't really do anything too exciting this weekend for the holiday - yesterday I brought my 7 year old to Oz The Great & Powerful (it was pretty good - April loved it). And then today I brought April and Shelby to a Drumline Competition at the High School nearby. So I did leave the house for a while with this green manicure... This is Julep Courtney.
Courtney is described on Julep's site as a "Key-Lime Green Creme". That explains it perfectly. It was opaque in two coats, just like most Juleps I have. Like yesterday's orange, I wouldn't have guessed that I would like it this much. It's different, but in a good way. I think I'm venturing out a little more on my nail colors and it's fun:) Who knows, maybe I'll try China Glaze Trendsetter one day???!!!
And as you can see, I still have the Jamberry Nail Shield on in Multi Color Chevron. I showered and everything and it's still in tact! I'm not surprised though - a few months ago, I was wearing a nail shield and we went to a community center to go swimming and it stayed on perfectly. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Did you have a good St. Patrick's Day if you celebrate? I remember the day when we would go to the bar and drink green beer. I think I fell asleep on the couch last night at like 9:00. I'm so cool ;)
Have a great rest of your weekend!

This green is really pretty, and I think the Jamberry shield works great with the green! It's almost like a rainbow. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I enjoyed it - maybe a little more than the orange one yesterday:)
DeleteCute mani for the St. Patrick's Day! The green is really pretty on you! :-)

Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised.
DeleteLove it! I have Courteney too and it's such a perfect green!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just placed an order for my first sets of Jamberry nail shields, and I can't wait to get them!
Oh cool! I hope you like them as much as I do. A sheet lasts forever because you can use one strip twice because they are so long. And if you only use them as accents, that's a lot of manicures:)
DeleteLove it! Such a fun manicure :)
ReplyDeleteThanks:)
DeleteI love this mani. I love chevrons so much. I need to look into Jamberry.
ReplyDeleteYou sure do:) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHi Essie - what a great mani!!! I love this kinds of green but they don't love me back - LOL, they look gruesome with my skin :-S!!! We don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Switzerland - well Irish Pubs might be filled to the gills but that's about it ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like a good Irish Pub:) Thanks for the compliment on the mani!
