Illamasqua Baptiste Review/Swatches

Say Hello to my new favorite purple!  This is Illamasqua Baptiste.
Illamasqua Baptiste
When I started hearing rumors about Illamasqua polishes on clearance for $7 at Sephora inside JCPenney, I ran to my nearest store to check.  Nope, none of them were on sale:(  I left empty handed.  But I refused to give up.  I went back a few days later and there they were.  I guess they are a little behind at my store.  This is one of the beauties I picked up.  I actually had this on my wish list for a while, but took it off when I was cleaning it up.  But of course, it was still in the back of my mind.
Illamasqua Baptiste
This is my first Illamasqua polish and if they all apply like this one, I will be their newest fan.  This is two coats and it was so creamy and easy to apply.

I love the dimension of this polish.  It can look almost black in some lights, but it's not one of those polishes that are so dark that most people would think it's black at first glance.  It has the perfect amount of purple shimmer.
Illamasqua Baptiste
I love the deep shade of plum purple - it's so rich and royal.

You may want to check your nearest Sephora inside JCP to see if they are still on sale.  Otherwise, they are still on the Sephora website for $14 here.  I would actually buy this for $14 now that I know how much I like it.

Better yet, if you want to win a $50 Sephora gift card and use that to buy this polish, enter my giveaway here!

Do you have any favorite Illamasqua nail polishes?  I know my friend Liesl reviewed Collide here and that went straight to my wish list:)

    1. I know, I should have asked you if you wanted anything. The day I went the second time I just last minute stopped there to see if they were on sale. Do you want me to check tonight? My husband and I are bringing the kids to the mall to get out of the house a little bit. This snow is getting ridiculous!

    1. I really liked the formula. It was on the watery side, but in a good way:) I recommend it. Thanks for commenting!

    1. I was totally going to call it "Sephora-in-Penney" and reference you, but I was afraid people would think I talk about you too much:)

  6. This is stunning! The shimmers are so pretty! My nearest Sephora in JCP is quite far away, so I haven't had a chance to check out this deal yet. :-)
