I'm so glad I gave Amy, from BadAss Polish the go-ahead to send me two of her new polishes. I have been trying to find more of a balance between my reviews and polishes I have purchased, so I have decided to slow down when accepting polishes to review. Amy has been such a great friend through this experience and I told her that I am more than happy to continue to review her polishes. It doesn't hurt that they are so unique and beautiful. Remember Dusk?? If you haven't picked that one up yet, what are you waiting for? While you are on her site, you may as well grab this one too. This is Chocolate Covered Cherry.
Isn't it beautiful? It's like the warm version of Dusk.
Chocolate Covered Cherry has a clear base with micro-shimmer in bronze and holographic candy red. Because of the holographic nature of the red, I can see blue and purple shimmer in certain lights too.
The application was great - you only need one coat of the glitter if you are laying it over another color. One thing I would like to mention is that I needed two coats of top coat to get the glossy finish you see in my photos. I used the Julep Polymer top coat. Without two coats, the polish was a little rough - but with the textured polish craze, it may be just what people are looking for. I am a bigger fan of glossy though.
I layered Chocolate Covered Cherry over Julep Keira and I love the result. I tried it over black and that looked really pretty too.
And I will leave you with the close-up below:)
Chocolate Covered Cherry will be available soon! Please "like" the BadAss Polish Facebook page for updates.
Thanks for stopping by!
Note: BadAss Polish Chocolate Covered Cherry was provided to me for review. See my Disclosure Policy for more information.
