Butter London Posh Bird Swatch and Review

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Butter London Posh Bird.   This is easily a favorite polish of mine and I have only had it about a month.  I have already worn it 4 times and that's a lot for me, as I have so many to pick from.
Butter London Posh Bird
Posh Bird is a smoky taupe with a hint of purple.  It has tiny silver microglitter particles.  The formula is a lot like another favorite of mine...Butter London Victoriana.  As with Victoriana, the application is wonderful!  If you are in the market for a one-coater, this would be the polish for you.  This is one of those polishes I grab when I am leaving the house and need to quickly paint my nails.  It's a nice neutral color, it applies effortlessly, and it dries quickly.

I have been IMPATIENTLY waiting for my nails to grow.  I am having such a problem with my pointer nail. I ended up running to Sally's yesterday and I bought Nail Tek II Intensive Nail Therapy Treatment.  I have heard great things and I am desperate.

My right hand, on the other hand (literally), is doing just fine.  My nails are strong and not breaking...so look what I tried!!!   A right-handed shot!
This was the only way I could hold the bottle.  My brain was telling my fingers what to do and they wouldn't listen.  It was almost like it was someone else's hand that I was trying to control with my mind.  I was actually yelling at my fingers in my brain "no, move that way, no the other way."  LOL.  Has anyone tried shooting with the opposite hand?  So hard.

I have heard that Posh Bird is Limited Edition.  Actually, when I heard it was Limited Edition, it took me about 2 minutes to get to the Butter London site and order it.  I also ordered one for my friend Liesl at Liesl Loves Pretty Things and surprised her - it's fun being a polish fairy!  She has already reviewed hers here.

If you would like Posh Bird, it is still available on the Butter London website here.  I know it's a little expensive, but if you want to splurge or someone is buying you a gift, I highly recommend splurging on this one.  It's well worth it!  Maybe skip going out to lunch one day and buy this instead.

Have a nice day everyone!

  1. Gorgeous, gorgeous color. I have tried taking pics of my other hand and I can't seem to push the button on the camera. I finally had to ask my husband to come take the pictures for me haha.

  2. I have to shoot my opposite hand. I'm a lefty and shooting my camera with my left hand is pretty much impossible. I've actually gotten better with practice but it definitely doesn't come naturally to shoot my left hand.

  4. Ooh pretty! I was torn between that one and No More Waity, Katie. I really should have picked that one! I may have to break down anyway :)

    1. I like this one better than No More Waity, Katie, but I do like NMWK too!

  5. Ooh this is really pretty! I might have to pick this one up myself as I love that shimmer in Victoriana. Also an FYI, your link for Liesl's post goes to your swatch of Victoriana. :)

I absolutely hate trying to take pictures of my right hand. It's dominant and 10x better at everything than my left hand but it's so awkward when I try to photograph it! I can never figure out where to hold the camera so that it looks the same either, lol, yours looks pretty fantastic to me!

    1. Oh, thanks I'll have to change that. I know, it's so weird! I need to practice more if I keep breaking my left hand nails.

  6. Personally, I love it. It is exactly as you describe. Yes, I have had to do left handed posing and photography many times. But I do have an advantage others do not. I had a injury that literally numbed my right hand. I coul not use it so I was a lefty for about 2 1/2 years before I had surgery to correct it. So many MD opinions until the consensus was surgery. So, it is hard at the beginning but the mind adapts.

  7. Beautiful colour and I too hate right hand shots! The right hand will just not do what it's told!

  8. Oooh this color is GORGEOUS! It looks perfect with your skintone too. I wish I could get my right hand to cooperate and use that as my swatch hand but no such luck :( I'm a lefty so I'm much better at painting my right hand anyways but it just doesn't look right when I try and take pics. Plus those nails look nicer than my left ones - go figure!

    1. Thank you. My cuticles don't always look as good on my right so even if I could do it, they don't look the greatest :(

  9. Nope, never used my right hand. I think I tried once, just for the halibut, and it was wrong, all wrong!!! Your photos don't look awkward in the least. Posh Bird is absolutely stunning on you and I love mine and I'm so grateful for your friendship ♥♥♥

  10. *ooohs and aaahs* Posh Bird is beautiful on you! Elegant and edgy at the same time! :-)
I have trouble with BL bottles and hand positions too. For me, they're the hardest bottle shape to hold in a natural way. My fingers always look squished and weird lol. I think you did a great job none-the-less!

    1. Yes, Butter London is hard to hold for photos. It takes me a lot longer to get a good shot. I really enjoy Posh Bird!

  12. Good job on the right-handed shot- I still can't do those, haha! I love Posh Bird- looks really lovely on you!

I will second the Butter London-hand position-difficulties sentiment too. It's just an awkward bottle to hold!
