Hello Everyone:) I hope your weekend is going well. We are in the middle of a snowstorm today in Minnesota so it looks like we will have a white Christmas. It's so pretty out today:)
To celebrate the prettiness outside, I would like to show you a pretty manicure. This is Zoya Regan with an accent nail using a Jamberry Nail Shield.
As you know, I tried and loved the Sally Hansen Nail Strips here. The big issue I have with with them is that when you open the pack of strips, you have to use all of them right away or they will dry out. I wasn't aware of that when I did that manicure (with just accent nails) so the rest in the pack were useless. I was on the lookout for another brand and decided to try the Kiss brand strips that are stickers. Those were a nightmare. I didn't even post a photo. You have to trim them to make them fit and they were so sticky that I screwed up a bunch of them just trying to get one to look half-way decent. I then went to one of my FB groups and asked for ideas for other nail strips. That's when I heard from Kelly Baas from OohLaLaPolish.com. She told me about the Jamberry Nail Shields that she sells.
She offered to send me some to try and I happily took her up on her offer:) She didn't ask for a review or anything, but I love them so much that I had to share! They were WAY easier than the Kiss strips. They required one more step than the Sally Hansen and that was a hair dryer. You pull the strip off of the page, warm it up with a hair dryer, stick it on the nail, trim it and file the edges off, and warm it up again to make it seal. It was very quick and easy and didn't have any trouble getting it to stick and stay...and it was my first time trying it.

There are tons of different designs - check them out here. And Kelly shows them on her blog as well. Here is a post where she shows another awesome design and provides a promo code for your purchase.
I haven't gotten into nail art yet, but I am starting to get interested in it. This is a quick and easy way to get the nail art look. And if you like your nail art to be more subtle, I encourage you to try these. Also, depending on the length of your nails, you can get at least 2 uses with one strip.
Kelly recently asked if I would like to hold a Jamberry Nails giveaway on my blog and I told her that I would love to. So watch for that in the next week or so.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by:)

Oh wow, this is a great mani! I loooove the colors together! Sounds like you had a great experience with the nail shields!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, I was a little nervous to try, but I did it and it was easier than I thought.
DeleteOh I love this look so much! Also you can use them for a super great pedicure too ;)
ReplyDeleteYou sure can! They make little ones for kids' nails too:)
DeleteSuch a pretty mani! Zoya Regan is such a gorgeous color.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am glad I pulled Reagan out again. I really love it.
DeleteGreat look-- I love how the decal actually looks like polish, and not a sticker. Maybe because of the design on it and the fact that it's more simple, but it looks good. I should try some of these!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, in real life it just looked like I was really awesome at nail art. My niece was over and she thought I painted those lines. LOL.
DeleteThis is seriously one of the cutest nail posts I've ever seen, I love the whole look!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much - I appreciate the compliment.
DeleteThis looks so great! Jamberry looks and sounds like really high quality stuff. I love how glossy it is. Very cool of Kelly to send you some to try :) So cute with Reagan, too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, I am excited to try the others. I couldn't decide what to use first.
DeleteI love the strip!! I really like nail art but I can never get the stripes right, even with striping tape.. I might just be getting these!!
ReplyDeleteI love the overall look!! And I'm soooo envious of your snow =))
Thanks. I just ordered some striping tape...well, about 3 weeks ago and it hasn't arrived from Hong Kong yet. I do recommend these.
DeleteEvery time I see your accent nail manicure I think "oh! Essie Rae is stamping now!" You get me every time :)
ReplyDeleteThe manicure looks great. Love it!
LOL. Not YET!

ReplyDeleteThank you.
Deletelooks so lovely ♥ You have perfectly matched the colours! amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
DeleteI need to try these. I suck at nail art so I'm always looking for stuff like this. Great mani!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteI LOVE that stripe design, I might have to get some of those!
ReplyDeleteI also really like the Incoco nail appliques- I don't know if you've tried those. They're much easier to apply than the Sally Hansen ones and don't dry out.
No, I'll take a look at those. Thanks for letting me know:)
DeleteI really love this!! And your nails are super nice (I like the shape and size, you're blessed :p). What top coat did you use here, if you don't mind me asking. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you - that's such a nice compliment. I used Seche Vite.
DeleteVery cute strips! They don't even look like strips! I have problems with them as well as my nail beds are freakishly wide--they never fit! Love these ones, though! The edges are perfect!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think these have so many sizes that you are bound to find one that fits. I didn't have any trouble with this guy:)
DeleteLove this it looks amazing! I will have to check out the Jamberry Nail Shield!
ReplyDeleteThose came out really cute. I love the colors together.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! Your nails look so pretty and your pictures are so good!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from The Nail Files linkup :)
Very pretty! Also good tip to know about the nail stripes drying out. I've not tried any of them yet, so it's good to know if I do decide to get some.
