For The Love of Children

I would like to dedicate this post to all of the families who have been affected by the shooting in Connecticut.  I have given my daughters; April (7) and Shelby (5) lots of extra hugs and kisses since I picked them up from school on Friday.  I have spent some extra quality time with them and decided to let them share a piece of themselves on my blog today:)

Shelby (5)

I was so lucky to be able to pick my kids up from school on Friday and I can't even begin to imagine what those families are going through right now.  I know all of us are thinking about how we tend to take life for granted and how we need to start living each day to its fullest.  I know I have thought about the small annoyances and complaints I have in my life and how insignificant they are compared to what  people are going through all around the world.

April (7)

April & Shelby's Manicures
The first photo is Shelby's little fingers.  She loved my BadAss Polish Dusk over Zoya Song the other day so asked me to paint her nails like mine.  And April chose her favorite color green for her manicure.  She is wearing OPI Jade is the New Black.  These are both great choices in polishes - they have awesome taste!  I am so lucky to have these 2 little girls in my life.  I love you April and Shelby - sooooo much!

Let's take some extra time to tell a loved one how much we care for them and always remember to cherish each and every day.

Thanks and take care.

  1. How sweet of you to dedicate this post to your daughters. It really is sad what has happened. Not only are the victims and their family/friends affected but any innocent soul in that school is no longer innocent to the horrors of that horrible day. I pray for them as well. What a tragedy.

I think this is so sweet. It reminds me of the only thing my mother ever said about my hands, they look like my father's! LOL
