Cult Nails Bitten Review and Swatch

This is "Bitten" from the Cult Nails Behind Closed Doors Collection

Cult Nails Bitten

Cult Nails describes Bitten as a raspberry glass flecked polish.  I would consider this a jelly as it's pretty sheer.  I have 3 coats on in these photos.  You can achieve completely different looks depending on how many coats you decide to apply.  It's a lot more pink in the beginning, and then deepens with each additional coat.

Cult Nails Bitten

Bitten reminds me of China Glaze Ruby Pumps, but it's more of a raspberry/wine shade than red.  This is such a beautiful polish!

It's available on the Cult Nails website for $10.00.  I have been so impressed with every Cult Nails polish I have tried and I highly recommend them.

There has been a bit of a gap in my postings lately and I apologize.  I wore a few polishes the past few days that I have either just had on my blog (OPI DS Magic) or I couldn't get a good photo (Julep Leah).    I had some issues getting nice photos of this polish as well.  It seems like the quality of my photos goes in waves.  One week I am completely discouraged and so unhappy with how my photos turn out (this week) and then the next week it only takes me a few shots to get one that I feel is good enough to post.  I would love to be more consistent.  Do any of you go through these phases?  Isn't it frustrating?

Thanks for checking out this polish and listening to my small rant :)

  3. It's gorgeous on you, and so sparkling and festive :) You are def your own worst critic, because your photos are consistently lovely.
Did I tell you my lightbox came in the mail the other day? Well, anyhoo, I've been playing around with it and I'm highly frustrated because I thought I could magically stick my posed hand in there and snap the perfect photo, but not so much. It's almost more work than waiting around to get a good outside shot. And yeah, it totally makes me not look forward to posting about anything because, despite what I said on fb about not being a perfectionist, I still have standards, lolol. It's all so much more fun when you're happy with your pictures. Combine that with other stuff, the business of the holidays, and the fact that all I really want to wear right now is Come to Bed Red and La Moss and you have another inconsistent blog. :p

    1. Liesl, I also got a light box and expected all my pictures to be automatically perfect... In the end I ditched the damn thing and just held on to the colorful fabric it came with for my backgrounds! My pictures seem to look better when shot outside of the box! Go figure :(

  5. I think your photos are really good too. Much better than mine, I am always running around my house trying to find light, and I don't like editing. I like manicures.

This polish looks really good on you! Stunning really!

    1. Thank you. I know, I look so funny running around my house with a polish in one hand and a camera in the other. My kids and husband don't even notice anymore:)

  6. You are way too hard on yourself! Your photos always look stunning! I haven't blogged in a bit but I know lighting was one of the things that seemed to make or break my photos...or at least how I felt about them. And us midwest peeps...lighting can really suck! It seems like it's gloomy more than it's not. Seriously, just try not to be so hard on yourself! You pictures are always amazing!

    1. Thanks so much. Yes, it's frustrating in the winter here. But now with the snow, it is lightening things up better.
