Butter London Shag Swatch and Review

Let's all take a moment to thank Liesl at LieslLovesPrettyThings for making this post possible:)  I found out about this awesome polish from Liesl and as soon as I saw it on her blog, it went straight on my wish list.

This is Butter London Shag

Butter London Shag

This is Butter London's description of Shag: "A high-shine, warm orange-burgundy metallic nail lacquer. Reminiscent of fallen Autumn leaves. Sigh."  Perfect description and yes, I do "sigh" when I look at it.  This reminds me of OPI Warm & Fozzie, but it's more metallic than glittery.

The application was wonderful, this is two coats.  I love the Butter London brush.  It's stiffer and gives me great control when applying their polish.  I decided to wear this two days and added a third coat for the second day.  The third coat made it a little darker and it gave it more of a reddish tone.  I may throw on 3 coats next time I wear it.

I wanted to mention one more thing.  As you may know, I always kept my blog a secret from my "real life" family and friends.  Now that my mom has found out, we have had a great time talking about nail polish and sharing this fun little hobby.  Another awesome benefit is that she knows where to look for my wish list and knocked 3 polishes off of my list for Christmas.  I got this one, OPI Mod About You, and Essie Bikini So Teeny.  Thanks mom!  :)

Have a nice day everyone!

  6. Hi, Essie. Hope you had a good Xmas. I love shag. It so pretty too bad I already did my daily mani. I've been wanting to wear it but I always end up doing something else.
