Andrea at Finger Painting Fingers reached out to a bunch of bloggers asking if they would like to take part in an exciting project during the month of October to raise awareness for breast cancer. Anyone and everyone who would like to join is invited to wear pink every Wednesday in October. I was on board the minute I heard about it as my mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor. I also know so many women who suffer or have suffered from breast cancer and it's a life-changing disease for everyone involved. My heart goes out to all individuals and families who are dealing with or have dealt with any type of cancer.
My first pink mani is Essie French Affair with the beautiful Hits Hestia on top. A fellow blogger/friend who I met through blogging, Shannon at So You Think You Can Paint, sent this to me out of the kindness of her heart. She also sent a few other polishes I had on my wishlist that I am excited to show on my blog. She knew how much I oogled over her holographic polishes and decided to send one. How sweet is that?
I took these photos this morning before work (without much sunlight) and since this is the first time I have ever tried a holographic nail polish, I had no idea how beautiful it was until I got in my car to go to work (SUN). Helllloooo, I should have brought my camera in the car. I may just try to take a few more shots when I get home to show you the true beauty - these pictures just don't cut it. The holographic shimmers look sooo beautiful in real life. Now I get the obsession with holo! I need more:) You can find Hits Polishes on the Ninja Polish and Llarowe websites.
I look forward to getting to know the rest of the bloggers who are taking part in this project. If you would like to join in, feel free! It's open to anyone. If you would like more information, shoot me an email and I would be happy to send it on. You can also click on the "Go Pink Wednesday" graphic in the sidebar of my blog and it will take you to Andrea's site where you can grab that button as well as get more information about this project.
Happy Pink Wednesday!
Just got home and tried taking some quick sun shots. Still not as awesome as in person - but I think you're getting the idea:)

WOW, this is perfect on you! I knew it would favor your skin tone more than mine, but it just looks amazing! I'm so glad you like it. I feel that if a polish doesn't work for me, it needs to go to a "good home" where it will be shown off. <3
ReplyDeleteI'm proud to be doing this challenge with amazing women like you. This community has brought me in touch with so many lovely women, it is truly an honor.
