Giveaway & Julep Review

Julep offered me the opportunity to review one of their boxes and host a giveaway! The winner of the giveaway will receive a Julep box of their choice. I have been enjoying the Julep polishes that I already have (see my posts by clicking the Julep label on my right side bar) and was happy to try some more.  I am also excited to give you the opportunity to try them as well.

The box I chose was Boho Glam.  The coral polish is Sasha and the Taupe/Purple is Toni.

As with almost all of the Julep polishes I already have, Toni and Sasha applied like a dream.  They are nice and thick and creamy.  The brush is on the thin side, but I still have no problem applying the polish.  The reason I decided to put these two together is because the colors remind me of a blog I follow.  I can't think of the name right now and since I follow so many, I can't find it when I look.  But the banner on the blog has a heart with these colors as well as a grey - that's why I grabbed my grey sweater for the shot:)  I will add the name of the blog next time I see a post from her  ... a few days later...just saw a recent post! I knew she would pop up soon:)  It's Ooh La La Polish

I love the Julep Maven program because you are able to choose your box each month as well as skip if you don't see something you are necessarily excited about.  I have tried other monthly subscriptions where the box shows up at your door and you are surprised by the contents.  That's fine and dandy, until you don't like anything in the box.  This is why I like Julep so much - you have choices:)

Most boxes have 2 polishes and a hand or foot care item (except the It Girl Box that has 3 polishes).  Being a nail polish freak, I normally choose It Girl because I am getting the most polishes possible.  This time, however,  I decided to try Boho Glam that included the Pedi' Creme.  I tried the Pedi Creme a few times and love it.   The way I use it is I apply it and put socks on immediately after.  It has a slight cooling sensation and when I take my socks off, my feet are so smooth and silky.  I love the feeling of this foot creme.  I normally don't pamper my feet as much as my hands, but this makes it easy:)

And now for the Giveaway.  This is open to individuals in the US and Canada.  I will keep the giveaway open for 1 week and using the Rafflecopter widget, the winner will be selected.  I will contact the winner and find out mailing information as well as the box choice.  You will not have to sign up for a subscription, I simply provide Julep with your name and address and they will ship it directly to you.  Here are the choices for the giveaway

If you would like to try Julep on your own for a penny, feel free to use my referral link here and enter the code "IHEARTPRETTYPOLISH".   Once you open an account, you can grab your own referral link and share it with your friends and family.  For every two friends that sign up, you will receive a free month.  Also remember to search online for coupon codes as Julep normally provides a code for the first box.

Note: This box was provided to me for review.  I wasn't compensated and these are my own honest opinions:)

  1. You know I have not been really happy with any of julep's polishes (except maybe georgia). Either they are too thick or they apply all streaky (and I am not a nail polish novice).

    1. It's crazy how some polishes work for some and not for others. I have had good luck with almost all of them. I can't really think of any that I haven't liked. I haven't used all them yet, so we shall see:) Thanks for your comment:)

  2. Well you know where I stand on Julep...but my goodness they have dreamy, super saturated colors that are just so amazing. That combination is just amazing and I am soooo happy they sent you a box to review. This does give me hope that they may be changing their ways. Next month IS my birthday so I may indulge and score their box...still waiting on the promised suedes *crossing fingers*

  4. I do Julep too, I love that they give us the option to choose something else if we don't like our box!! Unlike some other services. *cough* Birchbox *cough*

    1. I hear you on the "other services" not allowing you to choose something different. I have a subscription to that other service and never get anything useful. Love Julep!

  5. I may yet enter because Toni's so pretty... I'm one that Julep's formula doesn't agree with, though, so this should go to someone fully appreciative. Congrats on the awesome opportunity! :)

    1. Perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised with these. I have noticed they are on the thicker side, I should learn to use just one coat!

  9. Haha, ok, OLD POST COMMENT comin' atcha! :-D The 'lil preview of this post happened to show up in the "You might also like" on the new post, so I clicked through, drawn in by the colors, and YUP, these two are right up my alley! I've been drawn to those smokey purples lately, and really have a thing for melon-y coral shades. :-D That foot cream sounds super awesome too!! I could surely use some as I'm quickly developing hooves here...
Aghhh, posts like this make me REALLY want to take the plunge with Julep!
