Today I layered Essie Stroke of Brilliance over Zoya Song. I wasn't ready to remove Song and was excited to try Stroke of Brilliance - so I threw it on:)
Stroke of Brilliance is from Essie's Luxeffects Collection. In my opinion, Stroke of Brilliance didn't get as much attention when the Luxeffects Collection first came out. All I heard about was A Cut Above and Set in Stones. Then it seemed like all of a sudden I was seeing Stroke of Brilliance pop up on Pinterest and blogs. It's such a pretty blue glitter and I think it looks great over Zoya Song.
Stroke of Brilliance is packed full of glitter. You only need one coat to cover your entire nail with glitter pieces.
I received Stroke of Brilliance from Amy at Polish & Such from her recent giveaway and I was so excited because I had it on my wish list for quite some time. I am so happy with this polish and am excited to play with it more. I recently saw a jelly sandwich using this and OPI Don't Touch my Tutu which I intend to try soon:)
ttyl!

bling bling!!! I love it!!!
ReplyDelete:) Thanks.
DeleteI think they released Stroke of Brilliance a while after the original 5 polishes in the Luxe Effects (the silver glitter, the pink glitter, As Gold as It Gets, Pure Pearlification, and Shine of the Times) It sure seems that way in the stores in my area, anyway! Seems like it showed up months after the other ones.
ReplyDeleteWell that would make sense. Yes, I only remember those originals you listed - I bet it did show up later.
DeleteI passed it up, but I may need to rethink that! It's awful pretty! :)
DeleteThese two are made for each other! I have Song on its way to me, so I can't wait to pair them up. They are perfection!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, they work really well together;)
DeleteThis. Looks. Amazing. I agree with Shannon, they're totally made for each other. It looks so chilly wintery gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYep, icy cold:)
DeleteI'll definitely be stealing this idea when my Song comes in the mail! I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteOh cool! I hope you like it as much as I did.

ReplyDeleteLike I said, this combo sort of reminds me of Across the Universe. Perfect combo!
No prob - you deserve it:)
DeleteYep Stroke of Brilliance came out later on like PInk Pamalamma said. I can't wait to see it in person... I haven't seen it anywhere in Canada yet :(
ReplyDeleteWell that makes sense then:) Thanks. I just saw it in person for the first time at Target today. Hopefully you will find it soon.
DeleteOMG - I adore this. I mean 100% am in love with this!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Get it then:)
DeleteAbsolutely love those polishes paired together!
ReplyDeleteI own all of the polishes in the Luxeeffects and I do believe that Stroke of Brillance is my favorite!
Have a great day :)
This is the only Luxeffects I have. I have thought about getting the rest but it seems like I have dupes. Thanks for visiting:)
DeleteThat color combination is fantastic! I might have to pick up a bottle of that Essie shade.
ReplyDeleteYes, you might have to. Thanks!
DeleteYou are completely right about Stroke of Brilliance not really being mentioned when Luxeffects came out! It's really pretty though
