I made this cake for fun because I always wanted to try a lopsided cake:) I am a big fan of Andrea's Sweet Cakes and she does wonky/whimsical cakes like this all the time. She is so talented!
This cake was really fun to make and I was happy with the way it turned out.
Thanks for checking in and have a great weekend:)

OH WOW!!!!! AMAZING!!! I want some too please??? :-D
ReplyDelete:) Thanks so much:)

DeleteI'm such a dumbass, totally didn't see this post!!! This cake looks awesome!!! Never seen a lopsided cake!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. They are really popular in the cake world:) I get lots of inspiration for my cakes online!
DeleteAmazing! you are very talented! Did you go to school for baking? I am thinking of signing up for a cake decorating class. I want to make cakes like this too! :)
ReplyDeleteNo, I just took the classes at Michaels. You should totally do it, you would love it!!
DeleteI think it's adorable. Did it taste good?
ReplyDeleteActually, I don't think we ate this one. I don't usually like eating all fondant cakes so I think I threw it away :-/
DeleteThat looks AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYOU are so talented!! This reminds me of something from a Dr. Seuss book. :-) Love it! Do you make the actual cake from scratch?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have tried from scratch and I just didn't like it as much. My favorite recipes are "doctored boxed" recipes. The boxed cakes are one of many ingredients:)
DeleteAhh I see. One of my roommates is a cupcake making fiend, and I actually told her a few months ago about subbing butter for oil, add an extra egg, and...milk instead of water? I saw it on a friend's pinterest and thought, huh, makes sense: more calories, more flavor. As my dad says: calories are what make things taste good! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYes, extra eggs and then also sour cream! And in my chocolate cake, I put coffee in it:)
