Orly Nite Owl - ABC Challenge "Q" HUH?

You may be wondering what Orly Nite Owl has to do with the letter "Q"...or maybe you know where I am going with this one...

Orly Nail Polish
Bright Sunlight

Shade

I was thinking about the letter "Q" for quite some time during this ABC Challenge.  I don't think I have a polish that starts with the letter "Q", but I could have missed it while searching.  The word that kept jumping into my head was queen.  And the polish I kept thinking of was Butter London All Hail the Queen.  Problem is... 1.  That doesn't even start with a Q and 2.  I don't have that one.  BUT, I do have a dupe - Orly Nite Owl.  So, this is my round about way of squeezing in the letter Q.

This was another excuse to wear this polish.  OMG, I love this one.  It's just perfect.  I love the light colors with light silvery shimmer...(OPI Pedal Faster Suzi is another).  If I were stranded on an island and only could bring a couple of polishes, I would bring this for sure.

Do you have All Hail the Queen or Nite Owl?  If not, you should.

Talk to ya later:)

  3. Such a great color! I really like that you're wearing a white sweater with it because as I was putting AHTQ on yesterday I kept thinking how pretty it'd look next to a white sweater :):) And, nice creative use of the letter Q! ;)

    1. :) That's my "swatching sweater" - you'll probably notice it in a few of my latest shots. I think it helps show the color of the nail polish to have it next to white. I haven't been wearing that thing every day...FYI :)

  4. Ooh didn't know they were dupes!! That's good because I do have Orly so I don't have to be lemming after Butter London now!! Great choice Essie!!

    1. I think they are pretty close. I guess I don't have both of them to show, but from other bloggers' opinions, it's a pretty close dupe.

  8. I have All Hail The Queen/McQueen. It's my only nude polish. I quite like it, but kind of have to be in the mood for it, if that makes sense. Does the Orly have the holographic shimmer to it?

    1. No, it actually doesn't have holographic shimmer....so that must mean that aren't quite dupes.... so that means I still need All Hail the Queen:)

  9. Haha, I guess so! That's the main reason I wanted it, I'm not really into nudes otherwise, but the holo made it more interesting. :)

  10. I am really curious to know how close they are. I know you said it is back on your wishlist but I really do think they are close..AHtQ just has the more holographic-ness to it but it is slight. Either way, gorgeous polish!

    1. I'll have to do some more research. I just have a feeling that I love this one so much that I wouldn't regret getting AHTQ either.
