Just when I thought I was familiar with my nail polish collection, Barefoot in Barcelona appeared. I have no idea when or where I got this...it just appeared in my sea of O.P.I's. I looked it up and it's from the 2009 Espana Collection....or shall I say "Coleccion de Espana". Hmmm, 2009, my youngest daughter (Shelby) was 2 and my oldest (April) was 4....that seems about right - stressed out and need a nail polish to calm my nerves. This must have done the trick because it is a very calming color. This is a great nude if you don't want a straight on NUDE (my my, this post is going to bring in some interesting Google searchers). The reason this may be a better choice for some, is because it's not like a concealer nude, it has more color to it. It reminds me of the MAC eye shadow in Swiss Chocolate.
I took the rest of my nude O.P.I.'s out for comparison (Below)
Tickle My France-y is one of my all time favorite polishes. I just shook it for this picture but it's almost half-way gone. That's the furthest I've ever gotten on one bottle of nail polish. Tickle My France-y is a bit more pink than Barefoot in Barcelona. Samoan Sand is more sheer and a bit lighter. If you love nudes, you probably need all 3 of these - but you may be asking the wrong person.
What is your favorite nude polish?
I'm still trying to find a nude that works for me and this one may be a contender- really pretty!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried OPI Tickle My France-y? I love that one!
DeleteI have Barefoot in Barcelona (wearing it right now in fact!) and I really enjoy it but I think I'll try Tickle MY France-y as I'm looking for something lighter. I have Nails Inc. Porchester Square which is an unsual nude in that it's more on the clay/putty (slightly grey) side. Nails Inc. formulas really go on smoothly and really only 2 coats ever needed!
DeleteI've never tried Nails Inc....and Porchester Square sounds like it would be right up my alley! Thanks:)
DeleteYou can pull off the nudes and neutrals so much better than I can with your coloring. I really like this one on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI also got this one but unfortunately it doesn't work as a nude for me. It turns some kind of orange-y or I don't know what and it's really really awful on my skintone :( Big fail.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot darker than typical nudes. It's a pretty unique color. Sorry it failed for you:(
DeleteThat's a very pretty nude color on you! I'm still trying to find one I like enough to actually wear. :-)

Great color! One of OPI's prettier names, too. My favorite nude would have to be WetnWild Private Viewing. I haven't actually tried any other, unless you count holo nudes, though I'm trying to decide between All Hail the Queen and Yummy Mummy.
ReplyDeleteOh, I so want All Hail the Queen!!!!
DeleteYa know, I don't own ANY true nudes. I have a few sheer ones but that's about it. The closest to nude I own is China Glaze Fast Track, which I loved. Maybe it's worth investing in some nudes :)
ReplyDeleteIf you can find the right one that works with your skin tone, I bet you would love it! I always recommend Tickle My France-y (OPI) and now my newest is Orly Nite Owl...but that has a bit of shimmer. Good luck!
DeleteOh my, this looks soooo nice!! And I'm usually meh about nudes... I have Tickle My France-y but of course I haven't tried it yet... So many polishes, so little time!!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, why haven't you tried Tickle My France-y?????? Get on that:)
