I just received Julep Daphne in my July Julep Maven box. The first polish that came to mind as a dupe was Essie Turquoise & Caicos. Daphne is a lot darker and more of a muted teal/turquoise than Essie T&C. It actually looks a lot darker on the nail than it does in the bottle. This applied beautifully. It was actually a tad thick, but I welcome that when I compare it to Turquoise & Caicos, which is very sheer.
I have been very pleased with Julep nail polish so far. I thought I would use my 1 cent box and then cancel, but I don't think I'll be cancelling anytime soon. I have been very happy with every box. If you are interested in Julep Maven, feel free to use the referral link on my page - or just go straight to their website. Also, you can get your first box for 1 penny using code COLOR2012. No shipping, etc....just 1 penny:)

Here is a comparison of some of the dupes I have in my collection. As I said above, at first I thought Turquoise & Caicos would be a dupe, but Daphne is quite a bit darker. The closest would probably be Sinful Colors Mint Apple, but that has a bit of shimmer. In conclusion...Daphne is very unique and a very pretty teal - I highly recommend it!
It's pretty but nothing new as you've shown!
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of colours but they are ones that do look awful on me :(
ReplyDeleteshoot, that's not good:(
DeleteThis looks really pretty on you! I just got this yesterday myself. Thanks for the comparison, I have Essie's Turquoise & Caicos and your right, it is darker. Good to know that it's thicker too!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of maybe trying my first jelly sandwich with Turquoise & Caicos since it's jelly/sheer.
DeleteMy daphne is much much darker...hmm...weird...More like Zoya Bevin (which I don't have) or Thanks a windmillion.
ReplyDeleteMy bottle of Daphne is also much darker and much more green leaning. I'm actually wearing Daphne right now and it looks like a completely different polish when I compare my fingers to your swatch!
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Perhaps it's the lighting? I need to pull it out again and check. I apologize if this photo is misleading...
