Julep Jessica is what I always hoped Essie Borrowed & Blue would be. I guess it's a tad darker than Borrowed & Blue, but I love how opaque it is. It has a thicker formula, so that's probably why it goes on in only 2 coats and isn't streaky. I have such a hard time with Borrowed & Blue - I apply 3 coats and I can still see parts of my nails. I think I will grab Jessica from now on when I am looking for a baby blue manicure. Sorry Essie:(
Beautiful color! It looks like it could be a nice base for Revlon Whimsical, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I haven't picked that up yet because I always hear mixed reviews....maybe I should now:)
DeleteI've been on the fence about it forever, myself, mostly because I'm STILL having issues with certain pastels (and glitter, I'm not going to lie... lol). I pick it up and put it down every time I pass a Revlon display.
DeleteI absolutely love this shade of blue and I'm glad that I can pass on Essie Barefoot & Blue. Some of my Juleps are temperamental but this one was a piece of cake to apply. It's such a flattering shade on so many skintones.
